Hi Lydia, sorry I didn't get your comment (when comments are your own page, instead of replied, their is no notification). Not sure where you are with your question now....you can remove the Ning, yes, and you could redirect/mask your old site (what I am doing now) that would help keep your seo. There are some good discussions about this in the Ning creators forum if you want me to look it up for you, just reply to me. Good luck and I hope to see you around here more.
Here's the ning prices if it helps:
Uh, I haven't updated that site since October 2001 and I still get subscriptions on a regular basis. Since last week, I'm getting bot attacks. I want to take this site down and move it to Ning w/out losing my search engine placement. I have some basic new graphic design that was done awhile ago. I also prefer not to have ning.com in the address. What are your recommendations? Just to let you know, I'm a sales/marketing person, not a developer/programmer.
Hi Lydia,
Thanks for joing Spark Social Media. I checked out GirlGroove and, besides being a very cool name, looks likes a fun niche to be involved in. Let me know if you have any questions or how we can best add to this site to serve your needs.
Warmly,
Leif
